First of all, with a lot of playing, I'm now (vaguely) on line but in the lobby and on my knee. Because of the cost I will try to e-mail but without the photos of the blog.
Hierakonpolis was amazing (and yes Alison, there's some H sand wending its way homeward via Alison!) Hopefully there will be both slides and cam-corder piccys when we get back but briefly the 'Fort' is every bit as amazing as the photos and perhaps more, but also we could (more or less) make guesses where the Painted Tomb might be, Nekhen settlement, Wadi Suffian and so on. The guards were excellent, less so the SCA inspector who arrived out of the blue but fortunately when we were beginning to think of leaving anyway.
El Kula was interesting, with 20 million kids etc!!
Luxor is as sleepy as ever. Tonight it was the West Bank and El Fazoukhy for a real Egyptian meal. European Tomorrow is Denderah via the Western Desert Road.
(Alison has just told me she's sieved the sand for bits of pot so sorry Alison, no surprise extras!)
Weather windy so not too hot, just right for Hierakonpolis.
Will try to be on line tomorrow but still hoping to be out an extra day.
