Hi everyone,
Just to say there is no wi-fi at the Sonnesta apart from downstairs which means netbooks are not working properly. The business centre does not have computers and so it is almost impossible to think about the blog.

Luxor is it's usual self, political campaigning has just gone up 100 per cent (this is an Arabic/English keyboard so interesting to find the letters!) When I say 100 per cent, there are posters around but today is the first time I have heard any canvassing, and that was a loudspeaker at New Qurna.
Tomorrow Hierakonpolis (yes, Alison, Alison will bring back some sand!!!) and el Kula. We're going both ways on the West Bank to avoid Luxor check-point. Abydos and Denderah are both possible, trips are going normally.
Yesterday and today it's been the west bank. Tourists are well down but beginning to pick up. Not doing too much. It's warm but chilly at night and quite windy. Mentuhotep II really clear. Zany did all of Bahri (again!!) and drained both batteries.
Will try to get on line tomorrow. Am next door tonight at the Lotus but does mean piccys are out at the moment.
