Quite out of the blue a couple of weeks ago I found myself able to buy a bridge camera. I wanted a good zoom to try wildlife photography. The camera has a 24 optical zoom which hopefully might take some reasonable photos.
Like many people I miss the numbers of sparrows and blackbirds we used to have in the garden. I can't remember the last time I saw a thrush but I do have two pigeons who come around seven o'clock for their breakfast and then at odd times during the day. Usually they stay on the bird table but one of them clearly thought it was time to try the tasty snacks the blue tits, sparrows and occasional blackbird seemed to be enjoying from the feeder. Balancing precariously on a branch of the Philadelphus, pigeons are devout cowards, I just hope he doesn't tell all his friends there are goodies to be had in the tree.
