The site is very difficult to interpret - a guide from the IFAO would be very useful. There are elements from Tuthmosis (I did not work out which one), Ramses II, Ptolemaic and Roman periods. Most of the blocks were in blockyareds, and stored upside down. Not a problem as one gets used to hieroglyphs being written in any orientation.
One block in particular referred to year 63, so must have been RII.
Photography being not allowed, I only shot one from the hip, but it gives a good general impression of the site. I'll upload it later. My driver suggested that I had been the first independent tourist to set foot on the site in the last 10 years. It has certainly been closed to Tom Dick and Harry for a long time!
