Flying to 3000 BC
Do join us as we explore together this new course: 'Deir el-Medina'. A warm welcome awaits.
Published in 1957, Pierre Jeannerat captures a moment in time when the Khufu solar barque was known but still lay untouched, when Egypt was only just opening up to inquisitive tourists, a relatively newly independent country finding its way in the world: a time of promise and hopes and dreams for the future. Yet the title also takes us back to the birth of a new coming together in ancient times, the joining together of the ‘Two Lands’. Saqqara, the ancient burial site for ‘White Wall’, modern-day Memphis, takes us in a different journey, from 3000 BC to the glory of the New Kingdom. Do join us as we explore together this new course: Flying to 3000 BC. A warm welcome awaits
