There were 12 counters along the wall, about 5 of which were manned (or womanned), so I queued for one where the officer appeared to have good English. I explained that I wanted a 12 month extension with multiple re-entry. He priced this up at LE91 for the extension and LE61 for the re-entry, which would be much better than paying at the airport. There is an LE8 fee for each form, which explains the difference between the LE83 and the LE91.
So I filled in two long forms, gave him a couple of photographs and expected him to take my money. But he looked at the papers, saw that I intend to leave on 11th April and told me that I do not need an extension as there is a 2-week grace period on my original 30 days. He tore the forms up, Returned my passport and photos.
Exemplary service, although more English and other language posters would be helpful. At least I now know what the set up is.
Then I went next door to Aboudis and bought a couple of books.
In the evening at the RRH there were a few small clouds after sunset, but I could not get a decent picture.
