Once in a blue moon a full-sized coach stops at the RRH. Today was that day - Blue Moon being thecoach operator.
A number of activities were going on at the Tuthmosis III Temple. The most fun was when they got out the ladders to take aerial photographs. It was quite windy, but the session passed without mishap. Large blocks of limestone are being carted in to the back of the temple. I don't know what they are constructing but it is right on the main axis. The holy of holies?
A long way away, near Sennefer, a chain of workers was steadily removing spoil from an excavation and passing baskets hand-to-hand down the hill. I don't know where the dump was. They've been doing this for 6 hours a day for at least the last 3 weeks. It must be a very big project.
2 kites passed briefly over the mountains but I only got one usable photograph.
