I spotted a tourist taking photographs of Medinet Habu from the mud-brick wall behind the WC block. He climbed back down on the inside of the temple so probably had a ticket.
The power went off around 4pm, so I decamped to the RRH. There was no powere here either, but a bulbul came and posed for me on the next bench and in the shrubbery behind. The bee-eater had the sun behind, but I quite like the picture of it just after take-off.
We ate at the RRH in the evening. Salads, fries, bread and kofta in sauce. Food enough for 4 at least, so I hope that the lef-overs were not wasted. 20 kofta between 2 is just plain wasteful. I managed 3 and Tayib squeezed in 7 1/2.
