A walked to the main road where Sa-Re delicatessen has recently opened. It closes from 1 to 5 p.m., but I took a couple of pictures of its advertising notices. These were behind the glass window, so I apologise for the reflections.
No hassle down to the Nile. The temperature was about 34C so few people were about. I took a broadside of the new boat from next to Tutankhamun restaurant before settling down in the shade at Sunrise restaurant. This is next door to Blue Sky and has more shade. Cola Zero was Le10, which is probably a tourist price: but this was my first visit. I did not even have to ask for their wifi details - they were offered. I may find them useful even in Blue Sky!
Up to the RRH, where the locals watched Egypt beat Ghana 2-0 in the Football World Cup Qualifier. Then to Fayrouz for garlic steak and chips. I have probably said this before, but their steak appears to be slow-roasted rather than flash grilled. It is usually bordering on the "pulled beef" consistency, but is very lean. The rain-affected Brazilian GP was on Channel 4 at midnight, so I missed it. That championship goes to the final race in Abu Dhabi.
