I had unfortunately left my laser pointer in my hand baggage. Once I realised what it was that they were enquiring about, I found it and they proceeded to unscrew the laser end sending batteries everywhere. They put it back together and it worked. They never spotted that the other end is a traditional extendible pointer with a biro in the tip. This could easily have been a dangerous weapon! I believe that they should have confiscated it, but w.t.h.
My car-park had given me a free upgrade to meet-and-greet so I collected the car from the short stay car-park, saving a wait and a bus trip. Slightly alarmed - a couple of warning lights were on (air-bag and service) but I drove safely home. A trip to the garage will happen later this week.
Well that is all for this trip. Enjoyable, even in the heat, but I didn't actually get much done archaeology-wise.
