It was extremely windy all day, with a high of 23C and a low of 9C. But the garden at Fayrouz, where I took my dinner, is well sheltered.
It was a successful day for genealogy. A shifted my attention to some DNA matches which confirm my paper-based research on 2 lines. One match goes back 9 generations on a line which I had doubts about. So I am now in contact with a 7th cousin, once removed. The strength of the DNA match was surprising, so there may be more than one common ancestor. The second match, although much closer, confirms a link that I originally had doubts about, because names such as Jones, Morris, Price, Pritchard, Probert, etc., are not unusual in the Welsh borders.
