The Boeing 787-300 was almost full in Economy and half-full in business. Service was slow. But this plane is well equipped, with seat back consoles for film, games, etc. And we took advantage of the generous luggage allowance (2x23kg each) to take out a lot of stationery for a local school. Helen also emptied her school lost property office of a load of jackets and other winter-ware that had been abandoned and would have been thrown away. Rich parents, expensive clothing just abandoned. It will be appreciated in Luxor.
The Embraer 170 (76 seats) to Luxor was on-time and full. Only time for a soft drink, but there was good leg-room.
At Luxor, fortunately some of us knew that we had to go to International to collect our bags. Helen did not understand, and is still asking why this was necessary. In the domestic area there was no passport, visa, or customs check - but this must have slipped her mind!
We arrived at our West Bank hotel at about 0100, our rooms were ready, but we had a hot drink in the garden before retiring.
