does not reach that far.
I seem to only be able to handle email via "webmail" which is workable but inconvenient.
I am staying at Bugabbi, which is just north of St Paul's Bay. I was going to have Xmas lunch at MacDonalds - a Cheeseburger for €1.00. But it was a bit early so a caught a bus to the south end of St Paul's Bay. There is nothing there. One Italian Restaurant but no bars, cafes, etc. The Bus service stopped from 12 until 3 (to allow the drivers to have there Xmas lunch - no complaints about that) so I started walking north. After about a mile (in town, not the country) I finally found a pub/restaurant, Sirens, open. Being knackered and desperate to sit down I had a 500ml bottle of Hopleaf Pale Ale (3.8%, €2.00) and a cheese pasty (€0.50), followed by another Hopleaf with a sausage roll (same price). They should have closed at 2, so I did not pushmy luck for a third. Their menu looked fair, so I will go back another day and eat, just to show that I appreciated them being open.
Then the 3+pm bus back to Bugabbi.
As for archaeology,Malta has stone-built temples dating 500 years before Egypt. Nothing amazing, but I will be visiting a few. Bus transport is very good, cheap but very busy.
Xmas dinner was Fillet steak with pepper sauce. Good, but overcooked. I
went for an Italian wine as it was a special occasion (Bah Humbug day).
I have not heard from Mum for several days, and Skype is impossible, but I
did text her late last night.
