The AWT group was mainly female, 'mature', but I did not recognise anyone. Not even the tour manager or Egyptologist.
I was approached by a 'speculator' with a granite head of Akhenaton about 4" tall, and looking authentic. Does anybody make reproductions in granite? I did not investigate a price, although I was tempted.
In the evening the ex-pats had a party at Fayrouz. Helen was leaving Luxor after a residence of 7 years and a few tears were being shed. She will be carrying her world in 2 suitcases on tomorrow's EgyptAir flight, along with her cat. Luxor will miss her.
