There are a lot more covid cases on the west bank now, as judged by the more frequent wearing of masks, albeit not always correctly. Also the larger number of funerals, the much smaller gatherings at weddings and the conversation everywhere I go.
The wooden awning at Habou Gardens hosts a lot of nesting sparrows. Unfortunately the gaps are getting larger through lack of maintenance, and twice recently I have had unexpected baby sparrows dropping in on my table. The first was probably new-born, and survived a few minutes. The 2nd was a little older and larger, and was dead on arrival.
