I found it very smooth, with quite a strong vanilla flavour (from the maturation in oak barrels). No hint of peat that one would find in a Scotch whisky. A good long aftertaste. I consider that, in comparison to the International brands that are available in the Duty Free shops and that we usually sample, it was very much better. There is no indication of how long it has been aged, but it was definitely much longer than the minimum required for a whiskey.
Congratulations to the Egyptian distillery on an excellent product at a fair price.
The alcoholic beverage trade in Egypt is completely run by "Christians". Muslims in the main do not indulge, and are not allowed to work in the business.
