Afterwards I popped into Hammees for a bathroom break. I decided that I had earned a Stella, my first daytime "drink" since leaving Heathrow. The price has shot up. They wanted LE35, but settled for LE30 which happens to be the price on their notice-board. This board has been updated by painting over the 10s digit of all the "drinks". A year ago the price was 10, and I haven't noticed it being 20 in December, but it may have been.
Then to Aboudi's where I bought a couple of books. Mary Chubb's "Nefertiti Lived Here" was LE250 (£11) so I didn't buy that.
Then to Kam Thai for another good meal. The weather today is much warmer so I didn't need a coat in the late afternoon.
