In the evening I ate at Mohamed's (with the tree). Toasted flat bread, lentil soup, salad (sliced tomato, cucumber, bell pepper, red cabbage, and grated carrot), mixed pickles, soft cheese (a whole 100gm block), aubergine panee, kofta in sauce, mixed vegetables, french fries, rice and a pastry, all washed down with a Stella. Le90 (that is £4 approx). Unusually I was not the only diner as there were 3 others present at about 17:30. This is earlier than I usually eat but Tayeb wanted to take his eyes to a doctor in Luxor. In my opinion this is some of the best value on the West Bank. There was the choice of chicken, duck, fish or a beef tagine as well as the kofta.
The Moon has passed its conjunction with Venus but the sky was clear and some good pictures were available in the cold wind. I hear that it was also bright and clear in Sussex.
