Down at Blue Sky in the afternoon the river had dropped a bit and Emely looks even more sad. Not many birds, but I have included a selection.
Sunset was very good - the tree on the left of the RRH shows the strength of the wind. There were frequent flurries of sand.
We had two power cuts up at the RRH in the evening. By setting the camera to its maximum exposure of 8 seconds, maximum aperture and a high ISO rating I was able to get some good pictures despite the light cloud covering and extremely high winds. Placing the camera on a solid wall and using a time delay on the shutter helps, of course. The square of Pegasus is clear in the first picture, while Cassiopeia shows as a W in the others. If I get a chance I will try with a bit of zoom on another night.
