So this morning, expecting more of the same, I reduced the extra clothes that I carry to a single lightweight fleece. No point in carrying a jacket and scarves!
At breakfast the wind got up, blowing leaves and sand everywhere. The painter decided to sweep the roof of the kitchen-block and paint it. I cannot imagine that the finish will be very smooth - with more sand and leaves, as well as rain.
Looking at the weather at Habou Garden (as it will be called once the paperwork is finalised) I decided to spend the day at the RRH where there is better protection. I've posted a video on my FB page showing the strong winds and won't repeat it here.
The wind abated, a bulbul was chirping away and I was getting some work done, and then it started raining. It has been raining lightly for about 3 hours now - not enough to force me indoors, but the birds have left the bushes and are sheltering under the tables!
With luck, the poor weather will move elsewhere so that next week is good for sightseeing!
Very few tourist coaches are passing, today. I suspect that a lot of time will be spent at lunch and in the alabaster shops rather than at the tombs and temples. If I had made a day trip up from Hurghada, as hundreds or thousands do every day, I would be very disappointed. No piccies, but I'll include a sound-track instead.
