I got back to "The Street of the Children" before 7, and a restaurant there was still serving. They were nervous that the police could turn up at any time, but the only arrivals after me were at least 20 other diners. And when later I crossed the street to my hotel there was still plenty of activity outside.
Earlier, at Habou Gardens, 2 of this year's 3 kittens actually posed for me. I have waited all winter to get a usable picture of them.
And a CAT (JCB?) was digging up the coach park outside. Apparently the water main is broken. I didn't see them excavating any antiquities.
Several hotels, including Winter Palace have already closed. It is reported that they will remain closed for 14 days for "deep cleaning". I anticipate being moved out soon, but am loathe to pack. And I am delaying a trip to the "Off Licence" until I have more firm news. I just hope that I do not leave that too late!
