There were originally 5 in this litter at the RRH but one has been rehomed.
The news yesterday that the Red Sea Governorate has sealed its borders caught a few people out. Hoping to escape from Luxor via Hurghada, they were turned back at the police checkpoint. I have no information yet about how many were involved, but if they had valid flight tickets they will be annoyed. There was no advance warning about this new policy from the governor in Hurghada.
And locals in Luxor are annoyed that shisha is no longer available in the coffee shops and (most) restaurants. I fully understand and support this policy, but suspect that many of them will be returning to tobacco products.
It is eerily quiet on the streets as most people are now remaining indoors. The sites remain open but have virtually no visitors. I am expecting further restrictions on my movements within a few days, but today I was able to work in my usual offices.
